Avon Center School e-News - December 09, 2011

Dear Parents,

Just a reminder that tonight is our PTF "Movie Night" featuring the Smurf movie. Our "Holiday Shop" will be open beginning at 5:30 PM for children to do their "last minute" holiday shopping. The movie will begin at 6:30 PM. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free. Food and drinks will be available (Jimmy John's Pizza) for a minimal charge beginning at 5:30 PM. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and pillows to use on the gym floor while watching the movie. I look forward to seeing all of our Avon families tonight!

Next Friday will be our "Holiday Sing-A-Long". AM kindergarten students are invited to return for the sing-a-long. Students will begin going to the gym at 12:20. In order to help us with our "traffic flow" we are asking any parents wishing to attend to enter and check in with the secretary via the gym doors. Parents coming to set up classroom parties are asked to enter the front doors and check in with the front office secretary. Classroom parties will begin at 1:00. Your child's teacher will be sending party information home. Thank you for helping by following our building safety procedures and signing in when entering our building.

DISTRICT 46 NEWS: Next Wednesday, December 14 at 6:00 PM, the Board of Education will hold our annual Levy Hearing at Park Campus. ALL community members are welcome to attend.
