 CHESS CLUB 2009/2010 Make the right move! Whether you are a beginner or an advanced chess player, this program is for you. Students in 7th and 8th grade levels are welcome to come and learn the great game of chess!
Chess is becoming more popular due to the fact that it is a game of skill and strategy, which promotes critical thinking. It also teaches about good sportsmanship as well as how to win and learn (lose) gracefully. The United States Chess Federation clearly states, "We know chess makes kids smarter!" Come and learn from experienced chess instructor, Frank Swindell, who has students that are ranked at both the State and National level, including numerous state champions. Where: Grayslake Middle School: Media Center When: Starting February 17th- Ending April 14th (No class 3/31) Fee: $90 Please download the registration form and return to the school office by Tuesday, February 16th.  |
