American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
The United States Congress passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 on February 13, 2009, and it was signed into law a few days later. This law is a direct response to the economic crisis and has three goals: creating new jobs and saving existing jobs; spurring economic activity and investing in long-term growth; and fostering levels of accountability and transparency in government spending.
