Community Consolidated School District 46 has implemented an instant parent contact service called SchoolReach to send important messages to parents via home telephone numbers.
The SchoolReach system uses the home phone number supplied on your student's school registration form. The phone numbers are encrypted and and are restricted for use only by CCSD 46 emergency contact notification such as weather related school closings.
Upon receipt of a call from the CCSD 46 SchoolReach system your caller ID will show the main number from CCSD 46.
If you are not able to answer the call from CCSD 46 SchoolReach, a message will be left on your answering machine. The system can automatically detect whether the phone has been answered by a live person or an answering machine. Upon answer by a machine, the system will wait until the greeting stops and then will play the message which will be recorded by the machine.
If you are experiencing partial messages being left on your answering machine, there is most likely a "pause" in your outgoing greeting which is triggering the system to deliver the message early. Please make sure your outgoing greeting is clean and precise to remedy this issue.
If you are not receiving messages on your answering machine but do see that CCSD 46 has called, be sure that your answering machine is set to answer after no more than four rings.
If you have not been called with notification of the recent weather related school closings, please email the webmaster with your student's name, school, and home phone number so we can check to make sure you are in the system.
