After the Meet and Greet, registration materials should be completed and submitted at Kindergarten Registration Night. All families from all schools will need to go to Frederick School to register their child.
Current CCSD 46 Pre-kindergarten students should attend the Meet and Greet, but will register during the District’s Continuing Registration in May.
Kindergarten Registration Night is Monday, March 19
4:00-7:00 PM
Please Note:
- All registration documents will be provided at Meet and Greet on March 6. Families who cannot attend on March 6 may pick up forms from any school office after March 6. Students currently attending D46 Pre-Kindergarten should attend the Meet and Greet, but do NOT need to pick up a new registration packet. Pre-K students will register with continuing students in May.
- Families need to submit completed forms and documents at Frederick School on March 19 or at the Registrar's Office March 20-April 26 during registrar hours.
- Families who complete registration by April 26 will be included in their school’s lottery, if necessary. Registration by April 26 improves a family’s chance of getting their first choice of AM Kindergarten, PM Kindergarten, or Full Day Kindergarten, but does not guarantee it. Complete registration is defined as all three proofs of residency, birth certificate, and full payment/deposit of registration fees.
- Families who cannot register during Kindergarten Registration dates listed above should register with the District Registrar. The Registrar’s Office is located at Grayslake Middle School.
Families of Kindergarten students will not be allowed to begin the registration process without these documents:
- Three current proofs of residency (no more than 60 days old).
- Certified copy of birth certificate with an impressed seal or passport. This is the birth certificate from the county or state in which your child was born. Due to State of Illinois law, HOSPITAL CERTIFICATES will not be accepted.
Additional information that may be submitted before the first day of school:
- Physical examination and immunization record for students entering preschool and kindergarten. Physicals dated after September 1, 2011 will be accepted. Physical information must be entered on the Illinois State Form. Out-of-state forms will not be accepted.
- Dental examination records
- Vision Test Results
- Families who do not submit the three items above will still be registered and assigned a classroom. However, these documents must be submitted on or before the first day of school. Please plan to submit these documents during Central Registration Week in August.
